Bring your branding, menu highlights or seasonal message to each restaurant place setting with paper placemats made to your project requirements. Xucheng coordinates sheet size, paper selection, custom printing and packing around how your team sets the table and orders replenishment.
Send an existing placemat specification or start with a photo of your table setting, approximate dimensions and planned quantity. You do not need a finished technical specification to begin a discussion.
Select Paper Placemats and share the project details you already know.
A flat paper sheet for the restaurant table
A paper placemat sits directly on the tabletop and defines one diner's place setting. It gives your restaurant a printed surface around the plate for branding, selected menu information or a campaign message. This page covers disposable flat sheets ordered for restaurant service.
For paper that sits inside a serving tray, use our Paper Tray Liners instead. A tabletop placemat and a tray liner need different fit checks; the same dimensions or paper should not automatically be carried from one use to the other.

Sheet size, paper specification and price vary by project. If you are replacing an existing placemat, send its specification or a sample along with the changes you want. If this is a new restaurant setup, begin with the place setting and intended printed content; Xucheng can coordinate the proposal and sample review from there.
For the measurement method, see How to Size Paper Placemats for Restaurant Tables. That guide explains the occupied place setting and visible print area; this page helps you turn the chosen layout into an order.
Choose a clear job for the printed area
Everyday branding: Keep your main logo or message in an area that remains visible once the plate, glass and cutlery are in place. Share the artwork as well as its intended position, rather than asking for a logo somewhere on the sheet.
Menu or promotional content: Identify which information stays the same across an order and which changes by restaurant, language or promotion. Before approving a large quantity, check menu text, dates and any destination linked by a QR code. Tell us if each location needs its own version.
Activity content: If diners will write or draw on the placemat, include the intended pen, pencil or crayon in the sample brief. The writing result needs checking on the proposed printed paper; it is not an automatic property of every paper or finish.
We review the printing requirements against the selected paper. Print method, printed sides, color requirements and finishing are confirmed for the quotation rather than treated as a universal catalogue specification.
Approve paper, artwork and handling together
Xucheng coordinates the project with matched production partners, including sample review and delivery arrangements. Use the approval stage to settle the details that could otherwise change between the first order and a reorder.
Confirm the specification. Record finished dimensions, proposed paper, artwork files, quantity per version and packing instructions. Mark any unresolved choice so it is settled before production approval.
Review the artwork. Check the printed content, orientation and visible areas on the proposed sheet. An electronic visual helps review layout; a physical sample is needed to judge paper feel and handling.
Try the proposed sample in service. Set it on your actual table with the plate and utensils, read the content while seated, and check handling through setup and clearing. Include condensation or writing in the trial when those conditions matter to your use.
Approve the reference for the order. Retain the approved artwork version and specification with the order record. Confirm any later change before using it for replenishment.
Where unpackaged food may touch the paper, state the food and contact conditions and the destination market at the start. The proposed material and relevant documentation need to match that use. A tabletop layout alone does not establish direct-food-contact suitability.
Keep restaurant versions and reorders identifiable
For a restaurant group or distributor, give each artwork version a clear name and quantity. State whether deliveries go to one warehouse or need separating by restaurant, and specify any required inner-pack or carton identification. Pack quantities, sheet orientation and labelling are confirmed with the order.
A seasonal menu can become obsolete before the paper is used. Estimate usage against the campaign period and flag any planned menu change when requesting a quotation. If two versions look similar, put their version names in the approval record so the correct artwork is used for the correct allocation.
For reorders, quote the previous order reference, approved size, paper and artwork version, then list what has changed. Do not assume that a new menu file, paper change or altered quantity will carry the same price or schedule as the previous order.
MOQ, samples and project timing
Paper-product orders start at 10,000 units. Send the quantity required for each placemat design so we can confirm the order arrangement; a total quantity across several artworks does not automatically establish the minimum for each version. Final pricing depends on the approved size, paper, printing, quantity and packing.
Custom printed samples are chargeable, with courier costs paid by the customer; the custom sample fee is credited in full after the formal order is placed. The target for a custom printed sample is seven days after the structure or format, material and artwork are confirmed. Existing non-custom samples, when available, can be supplied free of charge with courier costs paid by the customer.
Most approved custom orders target dispatch within 30 days after payment and final artwork or sample approval. Requested testing time is additional. Share your required arrival date and destination so the production and transport plan can be reviewed together; dispatch and delivery are different milestones.
Paper placemat questions
Can I ask for a quote before deciding the size?
Yes. Send a photo of a fully set dining position, the available table space and your intended message. Include approximate measurements with units. We can begin reviewing the project while you work toward an approved finished size.
Can I use my restaurant menu as the placemat artwork?
You can provide menu artwork for review. It still needs to fit the placemat's reading direction and the space left visible around the tableware. Supply the final text and identify the version for each restaurant or language. A full menu may need a different layout from a short promotional message.
Can different restaurant locations order different designs?
Send each design with its required quantity and delivery allocation. We will review the version requirements in the quotation. Do not combine the figures into a single total without showing the split; artwork changes can affect the production and cost arrangement.
Which paper should I choose?
Send your existing paper sample or describe the appearance, feel and service conditions you need. The proposed grade and finish are confirmed for the project. Writing, moisture exposure and direct-food contact should be included in the sample brief when relevant, rather than assumed from the product name.
Are these reusable or wipe-clean placemats?
This product brief is for disposable paper sheets. If your requirement is a reusable mat or a wipe-clean menu, describe that separately so we can check the appropriate format instead of quoting it as the same product.
What should I include when reordering?
Send the previous order reference, artwork version, required quantity and destination, plus any size, paper, menu or packing changes. This lets us review the current requirement against the approved reference before confirming the new order.
Send your placemat project
For a useful first quotation, send your finished size or table-setting reference, planned use, quantity per artwork, destination and required timing. Add a paper sample or preference and packing instructions if you already have them. Xucheng can review the available information without waiting for every optional detail.
