CUSTOM FOOD PACKAGING

Custom Printed Hot Dog Trays

Custom open-top paperboard hot dog trays developed around bun length, toppings, hand-held service, formed dimensions and the complete takeaway order.

PRODUCT FIT

Size the tray around the complete hot dog and hand-off route.

A reliable hot dog tray specification starts with the bun, sausage, toppings and the way the loaded tray is carried or placed inside a larger order. Length alone does not confirm usable fit, side support or topping clearance.

Common applications

  • Hot dog and sausage service
  • Food trucks and concessions
  • Fast-service counters
  • Events and takeaway meals

What can be customized

  • Finished length, width and wall height
  • Open ends or end-wall profile
  • Paperboard and contact-side route
  • Print layout and colors
  • Flat-pack and case packing requirements

MATERIAL & STRUCTURE ROUTES

Compare the function before selecting a weight or finish.

These are common routes to evaluate, not fixed promises. Final suitability is confirmed for the actual food, use and destination.

01

Open-top serving tray

A narrow paperboard tray for visible, hand-held service. It is a different structure from a hinged-lid or fully enclosed hot dog box.

02

Wall and end profile

Side-wall height and open or supported ends affect loading access, bun support, topping clearance and the printable area.

03

Board and contact-side review

Paperboard, food-side treatment and any grease or moisture requirement must be evaluated for the real food, holding time and destination documents.

SPECIFICATION VIEW

A formed sample shows the usable base, wall support and topping clearance.

The complete hot dog should be loaded into a formed tray to review end clearance, bun support, wall height, grip, artwork visibility and fit inside the intended serving tray or takeaway bag.

BUYER QUESTIONS

What happens before production?

Is an open hot dog tray the same as a hot dog box?

No. An open tray supports visible, direct service and quick access. A hinged-lid or closed box is a separate containment structure and should be quoted and tested separately.

How should the tray size be selected?

Measure the complete hot dog at its longest, widest and highest points, including toppings. Then test a formed sample for usable base width, end clearance, wall support and comfortable handling.

Can the tray be printed on the inside and outside?

Print position and coverage can be reviewed, but the final route depends on the board, food-contact side, artwork, converting method and destination requirements.

What is the minimum order quantity?

MOQ is confirmed per project. Finished dimensions, structure, board route, printing, tooling and packing determine the practical production minimum.

Can I check a sample first?

Available stock samples are free, with freight paid by the buyer. Custom samples are charged first, and the fee is credited after a bulk order.

How long does the process take?

The current target is a first digital mockup within 3 hours during China working hours after usable customer artwork. After visual approval and payment of the sampling fee, a custom sample can be dispatched within 7 days. After sample approval and payment, most orders dispatch from the factory within 30 days.
